Staggering Slightly

Had a brilliant weekend. Saturday was the celebration of B's 30th birthday in Bethnal Green, my old Uni stomping ground. It was odd being back. There are many more bikes chained to fences and railings now, it's good to see. The new St Pancras station is HUGE. I'd only seen it from the outside - shows how long it's been since I'd been into London! All of those museum trips and fun days out that never quite happened. I wished I had wheelie shoes to get from one end of the concourse to the other.

It was fantastic to see B, celebrate and meet his friends who all seem lovely. They gave him the bumps - all 30 of them. There will have been aching arms on Sunday and I'm impressed that B's stomach, or more specifically the beer in it, managed to cope.

It was moreover an opportunity to see the lovely L and Sparkleylips, who isn't pink anymore! Her new dark brown looks absolutely stunning though, I'm not sure she's realised quite how good it looks yet. Everyone else has of course, and every man she walked past turned to watch her go by. We chatted, I ranted and stamped my feet, they hugged me and said nice things. One fabulous things that this whole thing has revealed is that all of my friends are all absolutely wonderful!

Each person who is horribly shocked by the break up and its reasons makes me feel slightly less of an idiot. It just doesn't quite make sense yet. There were so many plans. I liked knowing the direction I was heading. I liked the whole having a boyfriend thing, it was good. I know we struggled with living together, but I liked it. I keep listening to this song, which I know is about something else, but seems fitting for me at the moment.

I do wish I could just snap the hell out of this.

Looking at my web stats, I think JB may now be among my readers. Hullo. I hope nothing here or elsewhere comes as a surprise. I don't think there's anything here you didn't know about. I almost wish that there was, but no.

I hadn't heard the song before - I like it, a lot.

Huge hugs to you. You are in no way an idiot, people just do really odd things sometimes.

Glad you had a lovely weekend!
